The Cougar’s Cricket Club is much more than a sports team; we are the manifestation of a dream. Our goal is to become Chicago’s go-to cricket club, a hub where the sport is cherished and young talent is encouraged. We hope that in the future, our club will be recognized as an icon of cricket brilliance and social cohesion alike.
Cougars Cricket Club was formed in 1992 as an inclusive club that promoted good health and team building via Cricket. A modern team comprised of aggressive players from all neighborhoods, Cougars didn’t look much of a threat in the beginning but with lot of hard work and amazing performances, turned into one of the toughest teams in the league.
The history of Cougar’s Cricket Club is one of hard work and ultimate success. The history of cricket is the history of a community that has adopted the sport and made it its own, of players who have given their all on the field, and of the fans who have cheered us on no matter what. We are the only team to qualify for ACC playoffs for ten consecutive DayT30 seasons and has only four championship to compliment this achievement. Cougars consist of bunch of players of all nationality and age group. Youngest player is sixteen year old Max Averbuch and the oldest is 52 years young. You will get to see all kind of action during their games, most importantly their never to give up attitude.
